Dal Pian Architects project for the Cultural Center for Events and Exhibitions in Paraty won first place in the competition.

Conceived as a large Box of Events, surrounded by transparent closure and environmentally protected by large eaves and muxarabis, which reflect the tradition present in Brazilian colonial architecture.

Permeable to the visual perspectives, both internal and external, the Cultural Center presents itself as a friendly and extroverted building that, valuing the landscape and the integration with the surroundings, opens itself generously to the city.

This conformation intends to stimulate the encounter and the coexistence as a way of promoting and instigating the most diverse possibilities, of cultural and artistic manifestations.

Implanted in the center of the flat and almost square ground, spatially configures four external areas with definite uses: two squares, a deck and the parking.
